Sick People's Food

Need I say more? Can't taste anything, so why the hell would I want to order something sumptuous when my taste buds aren't functioning anyway? Ugh. I want to get well already. I need my chocolate fix.

Love And Other Drugs

Since I'm still recuperating, I wasn't allowed to go out of the house. Not that I wanted to leave though, I was also feeling very weak, so it's all good. I actually felt like a "senorita" yesterday -- everyone at home was so nice to me, giving me everything that I want, when I want it. Ha! Didn't know getting sick has its perks too! So yeah, ended up being in front my Macky the whole day, stalking people on Facebook, watching random YouTube videos, and also gave Love And Other Drugs a try. I didn't like it that much, I found it too cheesy towards the end. But what the hell, at least Jake Gyllenhaal was there as eye candy!

28/365

Sick

This isn't a black jpeg I got from MS Paint [Also, Mac doesn't have that and if you're a good friend you'd know that I am a Photoshop dumbass so yeah]. I took this photo when I remembered that I haven't took one for the day yet. I filed a sick leave so I slept the whole day. I only got up once for lunch and twice to go to the rest room, but most of the time, I was in slumber. Since it was night time and I can't sleep with lights on, this was what my phone camera caught. Well at least it's all black. If something appeared I might have jumped out of my bed and ran to my parent's room. Heh.

Eat and eat and eat all you can!

It's Ariel's birthday! During lunch, the whole of PC&V surprised him with lots of cakes and ice cream tubs. Everyone was so full, that even smokers who already quit smoked a couple of sticks after eating! Everything went back to normal during the afternoon, we want back and focused on our JOs, but as the clock ticked closer and closer to 5pm, everyone was getting on their night-out mode as Ariel was treating us all to dinner in Yakimix! Although I was kinda feeling already under the weather, I still managed to eat a lot. I was fortunate to be seated beside people who did all the cooking, while I did all the eating. I'd probably eat there again... But if I were to pay for it with my own hard-earned money, on that day, I'd probably not eat breakfast and lunch, so come dinnertime, I'll be able to eat a lot and get all my money's worth. Hahaha!

Cheap & Cheerful Dinner

Had dinner with one of my super good friends, Mapaul. We haven't seen each other for only 5 days [I think], but we're just that clingy -- we need to see each other and talk! Not to mention we're on BBM almost all the time, too! Haha. The weekend that passed was an eventful one for her, that's why she needed someone who would just sit and listen to her. I was kinda expecting her to cry [hehe] but she didn't. Well, that's a good sign. :-)

25/365

DIEt

Why must all my officemates be on a diet??? Being the sponge that I am, I do all the things that people around me do as well. So, yeah, I'm on a diet too. It's soooo soooo hard. If you know me well, you'd know that I eat like almost every hour -- but this diet -- it is killing me, I am serious. I only eat oatmeal, crackers raisins and Century Tuna [Hahahaha! The Supermeat!] Good thing Century Tuna tastes oh so good! Shameless plug, yeah? It's not even my account :-P

Teammates a.k.a. Running Buddies

Our all-boys [promise lalake ako] team have been planning to take up after-work jogging since November, but we've been putting it off because of work [yeah right]. Haha actually, most of the time, we just get so lazy and we end up just putting more weight instead of shedding it [i.e. eating out]. But since it's almost summer, we just had to discipline ourselves and we knew that we have to start getting some exercise! It's our first time to run together last Monday and we never did it again. Hahahahaha. Hopefully we can do it again next week!

Short Hair

I kinda regret having my hair permed. It's super dry nowadays. And when I don't style it, which is like most of the time, it looks so weird! Ugh. Decided to try out this app from instyle.com, wherein you can upload a photo and try out different hairstyles you want. Haha. This is how I'll look like if I cut my hair super short... Whachutheenk? :-)

Black Swan, Finally

Since I am a follower, I succumbed to the hype and got myself to watch Black Swan. I have no idea what to expect, except the girl to girl action that all my guy friends won't stop talking about. But more than the plot, the acting, and the soundtrack, what struck me most was those things coming out of Natalie Portman's skin! Holyyy.. Thinking about it now as I type and I am again feeling uneasy. I really don't know why I'm trypophobic, but I do hope there's a cure. I know that this isn't an illness, but it really is annoying sometimes.

*Yes that is a screencap

21/365

Pulutan

Went out last night with a few of my friends with one goal in mind -- to get drunk. Should be easy right? But when we arrived at the bar, we kinda felt that we were more hungry than thirsty [for alcohol] so we ordered more food than drinks. When we finished, we actually went to a different restaurant to eat some more! Hahaha. Fun night although cut short. And the moral lesson of the story is, if you're planning to get really wasted, EAT DINNER.

More Than A Make-Up Kit

When I woke up today, I realized that my make-up kit wasn't in my bag. I retraced my steps and remembered that the last time I saw it was in one of the restrooms in Powersmash. I panicked at once -- and no, you got it all wrong, I AM NOT THAT VAIN. I don't care if I lose my make-up, but that night in Powersmash, I also put my necklace [a gift from my mom] and watch [which was really was mom's] inside. I immediately called and luckily, someone surrendered it. I wanted to cry. When I passed for it after work, I asked the front desk lady if she knew who returned it. She didn't. I wanted to thank her [yes, her, I left it in the girl's comfort room... Unless boys use it too?] in person, but oh well. Anyway, thank you and thank You! :-)

19/365

Smashed!

Team Dentsu decided that they wanted to play badminton at Powersmash this one Wednesday and they invited us! It was so much fun! Not only did I enjoy hanging out with them again, I also got to sweat [a lot] which is really good since I'm trying to lose some weight. This will be a regular Wednesday thing [I hope!], so I'm excited!

The look of [semi] relief!

Last Tuesday, I was given the privilege [or the task, I'm not so sure] to present to the daughter of one of the most well-known Chinese-Filipino businessmen here in the Philippines. I'm not going to lie nor pretend, I was really so tensed. It's not like it's my first time to present -- but this woman kinda like owns probably a quarter of the country I am living in... So yeah. I was supposed to take a photo of something in the Client's office but I guess I was so preoccupied that I forgot. Took a photo of myself when I got home instead. Yay me!

On Waiting & Typos

Spent my Monday night at Globe Business Center to inquire about my unreasonable 6k++ phone bill. When I got there, there were like a million people waiting in line, and I didn't have anything to do [I didn't bring a book!], so I decided to look through their brochures and look for typographical errors. Haha, such a geek, right? Anyway, found this! It says "Ipads." First of all, the "I" must be in lower case... Also, according to the Apple website, the plural term for iPad should be iPad devices. PWNED.

Cheap Thrills

I love love love pens! Every time someone gives me a pen, be it a Parker, a G-tech, or those pens that you get in hotel rooms, it always puts a smile on my face. Mom gave me this today and I'm so excited to use 'em! I really don't know why I love pens. Maybe it's because I love doodling and writing... Or maybe because I always lose them, that's why I always need new ones. Haha.

Ziv's In The Pink Today!

Spent my Saturday afternoon at Philippine Children's Medical Center with Grace, Migs, Tatum, Jun and Ziv. Ziv is an 11-year old kid suffering from a rare disease called Blue Rubber Nevus Syndrome. It's a blood disease that requires her to have three blood transfusions a week. If they have the money, shet gets it, but at times that they don't, well, she doesn't.

We tried to make Ziv smile this one day by visiting her and giving her presents. Grace asked for donations from a few of our friends and colleagues who wanted to make Ziv a little more happy. She was able to raise P15,000 -- which would be considered a small amount by most of you but would sure go a long way to Ziv and her family. Jun and I also donated blood yesterday -- one bag each, so that makes one unit of blood just for Ziv :-D

I just wanted to let this out -- I am [in her words] "oh so proud" of my friend Grace for doing this for Ziv. What, with her busy schedule and all, she still made time and made one little girl feel loved.

No Longer a Bon Chon Virgin!

Had lunch with the Creatives and the PC of PC&V [yun o] at Bon Chon earlier. I've been wanting to eat at Bon Chon for quite some time now, but since it's always full [I hate waiting], I always end up eating in some other restaurant. We had a different game plan earlier though -- we left the office a little before 12nn, so when we arrived at Bon Chon Greenbelt 1, there weren't that much people...YET. Anyway, the verdict: The chicken was good! The hot & spicy was REALLY and OVERLY hot & spicy though, but still so good! So I'd give it an 8/10. If you'll ask me if I'd go back, of course I will. But if you'll ask me if I'd be WILLING to fall in line just to eat at Bon Chon again? Probably not... Haha.

To New Beginnings!

So I think it's kinda evident now that I miss seeing my old officemates. Had pity lunch with them today -- the first pity lunch of 2011! All three writers have now left the dungeon, and our favorite AE, Ceska, is now thinking of leaving, and becoming a copywriter too! Isn't that great? :-)

Dentsu Day

Spent today with my Dentsu loves. Had lunch with my favorite Junior Copywriter, Pilar, and had dinner with my Art Directors Spiro, Macky and Kris. A breath of fresh air, it sure was, for I missed hanging out with people out of the office. Don't get me wrong, I love my PC&V officemates, but then again, I kinda miss my Team Dentsu [yuck] -- I mean, I've been with them for more than a year, so what do you expect? :-)

An Unhealthy [Yet Pleasant] Surprise!

A couple of hours before my 4:00 pm internals, I got a text from my friend Leo if I wanted chicharon. What a random question, right? But since I really [really] do, I replied and I said yes. So after our internals, one of our messengers gave me a paper bag with a huge ass bag of chicharon in it -- and it was from him! Haha, so happy! And mind you, I wasn't the only one who attacked this sinful creation called chicharon! The whole Creatives [except Migs], and a few Accounts people cheated on their post-holiday diet, too!

Thanks Leo! I know you're reading this! Because I told you and you said you were following my blog. Hahahahaha.

Lazy Monday

I took this photo of myself in the Accounts area, where everything was unfussy, quiet and neat. I thought that maybe if I situate myself in a different area I might be able to finish my scripts, but no can do. Oh, Monday. You really are something.

Cold Night, Warm Coffee

Back in college, my friends used to tease me because I never drank coffee. I don't remember why, actually... But I'm guessing it's because of the taste? Come 4th year college though, everything changed. I started drinking coffee. But I'm not like most people who drink coffee every morning to wake them up, 'cause I drink coffee late at night. Yes, I am a crammer extraordinaire. Therefore, coffee became my constant companion. It was coffee that burned the midnight oil with me as I work on all my papers and reports. And now that I am working, nothing has changed. I still cram a lot and I still drink my coffee [mostly] at night.

I hope the cup of coffee I just drank won't fail me. I still have two more scripts to write.

Early Morning SEX

Sounds weird, coming from the prude that I am. Haha! First time to eat at Sinangag Express, and I must say, the hype was not for nothing. I had one of their best-sellers, Tapsilog, and I loved it. Was actually getting really sleepy by the time our order arrived but it was so good that I had to finish it! Ugh, I wish they had a branch in Makati.

One of those Inuman Nights

First things first: I kinda have to be honest -- I hastily took this photo a few minutes after 12mn, so technically this should be under my 8/365 entry -- but then again, dear reader, you have to let this one pass for I am just a newbie and I am sorry if I forget stuff. Heh.

So 'kay, this shot was taken at Jacob's house. Team Pagudpud were all there [except for Mapaul and Mervin] as Jacob's fiancé, Udji, was to leave for New Zealand in a couple of days. Photo very relevant to my life, since every time we have inumans, a bag of Tortillos can not NOT be present. And most of the time, I try to finish it all by myself. Cheap thrills, that's the way I like it.

Today I was a Mom

Oh, the life of an advertising copywriter. One day you're a mom, and then you're a 5-year old kid, and then the next day you're some has been TV starlet. You have to channel every character your project calls for to effectively communicate what your brand [actually Client but what the heck] wants every consumer to know. It's really really tough I have to be honest, but once it's done, the gaiety is indescribable. And if you think I'm being OA, think again. Well, actually, try doing what we do, and you'll experience that same glee, too. :-)

Christmas In January

Got another Christmas present from one of my Art Directors today! It's a Manix Abrera Kiko Machine comic book. It was so sweet if him that he gave me this since he keeps on mentioning Manix Abrera jokes in most of our brainstorm sessions and I can't freakin' relate. Now that I have a copy, I can finally butt in on Manix Abrera hirits. Thanks, Ray! :-)

The Mamp Grewal "Despedida" Dinner

A few of my closest college friends met up tonight as Mamp's leaving for India on the 6th. Little did we know that he'll just be there for a couple of months, so a "despedida" wasn't really necessary. Haha. Nonetheless, everyone still had a good time.

*Photo taken by CHERISH [that was her name I AM NOT KIDDING], the waitress

EDIT 01/05/10: Oh and please visit Mamp's blog: http://mampbackhome.tumblr.com/, where he'll be documenting his homecoming! :-)

First Working Day of 2010

Today has been pretty hectic for a first day. I actually had to go OT just to be able to e-mail all my stuff on time. Other than that though, I actually thought today went well. I was busy, yes, but it kinda doesn't matter cause I love what I'm doing.

First Sunday Mass of 2011

This 2011, I'll see to it that I go to mass every Sunday. I went with our maid today actually, cause my mom and my sister were both still sleeping, and my dad's at work. When I was in high school, I heard mass because I wanted to, but now, I hate to admit it, but I go to mass just because I need to. I'll try to change that.

New Year's Day dinner at our humble abode

It's always fun to spend quality time with your family. Good food with good people, good times. They say that what you do on the first day of the year is a glimpse of how your whole year will turn out -- well, if that's true then I don't have anything to worry about, my 2011 will then turn out to be a-okay.

First Day, First Post

Well, technically, it's the second day of the year already -- since it's already 2am. Anyway, this entry just serves as an introduction, as a "hello" to my friends and to strangers [if any] that, at one point or another, will find themselves here. So HELLO. I am Anna, and this will be my Project 365 Blog. I have learned of this project 2 years ago, around August 2009, when I stumbled upon some stranger's Project 365 Blog. It got me interested, but since it was already the middle of the year, I didn't bother starting my own. I actually tried doing it last year, but I didn't even get to finish January. So now, I challenge myself again. Game on, self. We can do this.

To set the rules, I allow myself to use any camera. Be it my DSLR, my sister's digicam, my Blackberry or my Samsung phone camera, or even a friend's camera, just as long as I took the photo. ALTHOUGH, photos taken by other people are allowed to be uploaded as well, as long as there's a valid reason as to why that photo was used [e.g. I was busy flirting with my crush; I look pretty in the photo, etc.] Another thing, I can delay my post up to two weeks max. So there's no need for me to update this thing every night [I have a job you know?].

Intro's done, rules are set. Well, greetings are now in order, yes? Happy New Year one and all, and good luck to me.
