The "I'm Sorry" Post

I've to admit that keeping this blog hasn't been easy. I've been pressuring myself to take random photos, and make it interesting, but in reality, my everyday isn't really that exciting. I'm at work most of the time, and I doubt it'll keep this blog entertaining up until December, yeah? So this is the "I'm Sorry" post, and no, I'm not apologizing to my readers 'cause I know damn well that you guys don't really care if I religiously post or not -- but I'm apologizing to myself, 'cause I badly wanted to pursue this project but I can't. But hey, I'll still update this blog, that's for sure!

B is for Baby!

We had a baby baby baby shower for Bev, Yssa and Florence at the office today! So fuuuun! Exciting games, good food, and the best part? All the mommies went home with big smiles on their faces!

Happy Christening & Happy Birthday, Eros!

It was an easy day at the office. My art directors and my bosses were all out, taking a breather from their weekend shoot. I had a single JO which I finished before lunch, and so my afternoon was practically free. That gave me the strength [haha] to ask my boss [who was at home] if I could leave the office for a couple of hours to attend my Goddaughter's baptism in QC. I was there for less than an hour, but I think I made my best friend really happy. I'm really glad, too, that I got to spend time with my newest Goddaughter, even for a while!

So ready for Bora!

4 [grueling working] days to Bora! I AM SO EXCITED I JUST CANNOT HIDE IT! I'm so excited to get a tan, drink all day, and just be lazy with the PPPs! Went to SM Taytay earlier to check out some stuff and ended up buying a pair of shorts, 2 bikinis and 3 sunglasses -- for P1,700! Good cheap finds, yeah? Gotta love SM! Well, that is, if you're just a shopper... But if you're their agency, that's a different story! Haha.

Rockstar for a night!

Kuya Nico invited us over for dinner and drinks at their house to celebrate his homecoming. Everyone was there, even Ninang! My night can be divided into two parts. The first two hours was spent eating, and the rest of the night was spent rocking out. Oh yeah!

Friday is Pasig Day!

It's exactly one week to Bora! Migs, Grace, Tatum and I put our game faces on and braved the crowded smelly shopping haven that is Pasig Market to get a hold of some Bora essentials! Cover-ups, dresses, shades, and more! After a good two hours of walking and haggling, we thought it better to reward ourselves with good food, and went straight to Banchetto in Emerald! Happy Friday!

Catching-up Dinner with the Girls

Had dinner at Pancake House [as usual] with the girls. Not all at once though. First was with Mapaul. After eating, we went to Greenbelt to check out some stuff at The Body Shop and Powerbooks. Tatum called and said she wanted to have dinner as well. So when Mapaul went back to her office to go OT, I went back to Pancake House to have "dinner" with Tatum, again. Pilar texted and asked if she can still follow, I said of course, and soon after, Ceska dropped by as well. Kina also graced us with her presence soon after Pilar got picked up by Ian. Haha. Crazy night. Crazy girls.

Briefing Of The Century!!!!!!!!!!11oneone

Today's one of those days that I can proudly say that I'm really glad to be working in this industry. To work with the guy you've been crushing on since high school? That doesn't happen to most people. Well, lucky me, I'm in advertising! I'd love to write about everything that happened in detail, but I might disclose confidential information in the process... So maybe next time? :-D All I know is that this is one of the projects I'll forever remember! And mind you, it's not just because of Rico Blanco! ;-)

Retail Therapy!

Well, there's actually no need for me to use the word therapy, because I wasn't even sad. I just wanted to shop. Mapaul and I set this shopping date for we wanted to buy accessories, specifically rings. We went to Landmark, where, according to her, funky rings are abundant. But we didn't find anything nice. We then headed to Glorietta to check out more stores. I ended up buying a wallet from Tomato. We went to The Ramp and she bought a pair of shoes. I saw a cute ring at the counter so I got it, too. But it didn't end there! We also went to Cinderella to check out bikinis for our upcoming Boracay* trip, but I ended up buying a pair of sandals. Before leaving, we passed by Schu and guess what, I bought another pair of shoes! Damn it. Hahaha. Oh well. Before I got fetched, I dropped by Mapaul's office to borrow one of her big ass eco bags so that I can put all the stuff I bought in it. Tactics -- I didn't want my dad to know I went shopping! Shh! And in other related news, I am now officially poor.

*Yes, I might go with PPPs!!!

U.K.

Long overdue shopping date with mommy! Actually, the day before, we were already in Megamall with shopping as the only goal in mind. It was a fail attempt though, for we weren't able to buy a single piece of clothing! We then decided to hit the neighborhood Ukay Ukay the next day to try our luck -- and I'm happy to say that we didn't go home empty handed. And that if only my closet could talk, it would probably be screaming expletives at me.

We Owe This To Ourselves!

ANBERLIN LIVE IN MANILA YO! An epic night spent with friends, old and new. It would've been better if my favorite girls were there with me, but still, it's all good! I loved it when they played Art Of War -- the song speaks to me, I tell ya!

Big-Ass S&R Pizza!

After a successful presentation at YouAreCee*, Cat decided to treat us all for merienda at S&R. Thankful for Accounts people who value their Creatives. Haha. It makes the bugging and harassing bearable. I kid. :-P

Blurred

It's blurred and this isn't my billboard but I started this Cool & Eco Life Panasonic campaign that's why I'm so proud! Heehee! Saw this in Metrowalk.

Friday Lunch!

Had to pass up on a Seryna lunch with the team so I could hear the first Friday mass. Had Sango delivered instead! I missed their Rice Burger! It's still as good as ever... It would be better though if the delivery guy didn't forget to bring chili powder. Hehe. But still! I actually want to drag my friends to Sango one of these days!

My Talented Art Ds!

I feel so lucky to be teamed-up with Art Ds who can double as an acoustic duo! Hehe. Asked them to put melody to a jingle I've written for a campaign, and in all fairness, it sounded good!

Good Morning, Oscar!

Spent the whole morning watching The Oscars with... everyone! James Franco was just so cute. He looked a little stoned but cute nonetheless. I don't think Natalie Portman was worthy of the win, but I haven't seen most of the films so I cannot comment on it further. After watching, everyone went gaga downloading the nominated films. I copied them all, being the freeloader that I am. Good job, self.

Blast From The [Recent] Past!

While waiting for my turn at the Dentist, I browsed through a car magazine that my dad had brought with him. Saw this Altis ad! One of the last few print ads I did for Dentsu. I still get giddy when I see my ads on air and on paper. I really love my job. Heehee.

Mean Girls Reunited

Back in college, I had different sets of friends. The Mean Girls were one of those groups I usually hang out with -- for one, we were all in the same course, and admittedly, we were all [kinda] mean. Hehe. We got together for Tracy's send-off one Friday, since she's moving to Boracay for work. Part of me's a little sad 'cause she won't be able to hang out with us as often as we want, but part of me's really happy for her, for this might be the beginning of something really really big.

Heeeee.

While re-reading old e-mails, I came across an essay I wrote back when I was still in high school. It was short, plain and boring… But I found it special for there was one sentence that struck me most while reading…

“I dream of making TV commercials one day.” ;-)
